W stands for Will or the Way Forward. Now that you have identified your goals, assess your current situation and reality, explored and brainstormed loads of options, the main question is this: What will you do?

The Way Forward
This is the step where you make decisions and construct an action plan. It’s also sometimes referred to ‘What’s next’ or ‘Wrap-up’. This is where you take the best ideas from Options and turn them into a concrete plan.
First, I want to say that You are the most qualified person in the world to decide which actions to take to move forward. This is simply because you are the world’s best expert on yourself. Don’t be overwhelmed by the amount of ideas that you’ve listed in the Options phase. Do not pick too many actions, this may lead to procrastination as you may not know where to start.
The coaching questions below will help you to formulate the action plan:
1) What are you actually going to do?
2) When will you do it?
3) Will this action meet your goal?
4) What obstables might come in your way?
5) Who needs to know?
6) What support do you need?
7) How and when are you going to get that support?
8) What other considerations do you have?
9) On a 1 to 10 scale, what degree of certainty do you have that you will carry out the actions?
10) How committed are you to your new action plan?
Sometimes, it’s easier to ask yourself this to start the ball rolling: “What is the one small action step I can take today?”
There you have it, the whole GROW Model simplified for you. You can coach yourself using the GROW Model, and get someone who you can be accountable to.
Once you’ve develop some experience in goal-setting and using the GROW Model, you will know how to tweak the model to work better for you. That’s why there have been other models that are derived from the basic GROW Model.
